Wanting to Join The Aviation Industry?

As of Monday 27th January, the Air League has announced the opening of its 2025 Aviation Scholarship Programme.

The Scholarships are designed to offer those with little to no aviation experience an opportunity to gain skills and build an understanding of the career pathways available within the aviation industry. Applications opened on Monday the 27th of January and will close on Sunday the 30th of March.

The Air League, founded in 1909, is the UK’s largest provider of aviation Scholarships. Over the past decade, Scholarships and bursaries worth over £2.5 million have been allocated to young people across the UK. Last year, the Air League was proud to award a total of 90 Scholarships; including 56 Flying Scholarships, 3 Electric Flying Scholarships and 31 Gliding Scholarships.

Gliding Scholarships are open to students aged 14+ and Flying Scholarships are open to students aged 16+. The £500 gliding bursary can be used in the Skills section of a Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award.

The Scholarships are ideal for any student wishing to pursue a career as a pilot, cabin crew, engineer, air traffic controller, dispatcher, or any other aviation or aerospace related role.
